The Adventures of the water coolers
Chapter 1: Once Upon A Time
            Once upon a dream there was a boy water cooler named George. George was an entertainer. He was also rare. He was so rare that he thought he was the only water cooler in the world. He thought he would never have love.
            One day he was shipped to a small broken down place in England called La palace. The only thing that made it like a palace was the quality of the food. When one day the La palace employees bought a girl water cooler named Rebecca. Then George thought, “Oh I knew it I am not the only water cooler in the world!” so he walked over to her and asked her to dance, she replied with a “yes” so they danced. They danced almost all night long. They had a lot of fun. Then they were very tired and went to bed and soon fell asleep.
They were fast asleep when their servants were going to get them ready for bed.
            The next day they got all their chores done and had breakfast. The door suddenly burst open a guard said “Mr. Bill, make way for the king.”  Mr. Bill said “You don’t mean the king of England!” Then his question was answered when a huge elephant covered in gold silver and a whole lot of jewels. Then the king was lowered down from the elephant and he and stopped and he and Mr. Bill talked for a while though the water coolers couldn’t understand one word the two spoke. Then after what seemed like they made an agreement the king then said “bring in the great Hayacha” (hi- yaw- cha.) The earth shook terribly like an earthquake and a monster came. It looked like a 7 foot tall wind miller which what it kind of was then the King said “Hayacha is very powerful he can shoot fire and water and air from his eyes. Anything that touches his propellers gets shredded. Even if they touch someone’s feet his head gets shredded. This monster was the same one they saw on TV fighting and challenging the machines that other people made. The king said “you have to knock him down by yourselves with nothing as a weapon. If you win Mr. Bill will be the King. (Since it’s impossible.) You two will be the prince and princess, or duke and duchess. Whatever Mr. Bill chooses. All you have to do is Be ready to fight him at 5:00 AM and win.” so the water coolers stayed up all night and practiced for the next day. The next day they were up at 4:59 and ready. Then it was one minute later. Then there was a knock on the door.
Chapter two: Won Then Lost
            “Open the door or we’ll open it for you”! Mr. Bill opened the door and saw an even worse monster then before! The king talked with Mr. Bill for a long time and then said “Are you ready” The Water coolers replied strongly “yes!” “Okay then, Ready…Set…Go!” The fight was on the water coolers were working together the monster was getting weaker and weaker until finally after over two hours of fighting the monster gave up and lost. The king was mourning “oh no now YOU have to be the king!” They all got to ride on the elephant for a while and while the water coolers were sleeping Mr. Bill got a couple of maids and a lot of expansions for La palace. Then they made a parade for the new king and then something bad happened. The king of France was there and took the water coolers. He took them to France in a private jet. When they landed the king took them into his palace into the monster dungeon and made them do a test to see what they did. They were more of entertainers than fighters so they were going to be entertainers. Then the king made a prisoner parade. The coolers didn’t like that at all.
The next day the king made George and Rebecca (the girl water cooler) entertain the people of France. Then the king said I’ll go get in dancing clothes but he got mixed up and went outside and started to dance in his underpants! He danced for thirty minutes wile everyone was snickering and not saying anything until a boy suddenly shouted out   “the king is dancing in his underpants!” The king looked down and screamed “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah”. While he screamed he dashed into his house and said “Slave, get my clothes and bring them to me.” In the commotion of the king in his underpants nobody noticed two water coolers escaping in an airplane with over half of the treasure in the kingdom. Once they noticed the plane was starting off the people tried to get the water coolers back but they failed. They treasured the two years they had with them. The people of France faced the truth. George and Rebecca were gone.
Chapter three: A beginning
            After George and Rebecca’s arrival La palace was way bigger and better and richer. The food was no longer the worlds best bacon and eggs but gourmet food (tur-duck-en, stuffed clams shells ect.) They were so rich they had a bank all to their selves! The water coolers were filthy rich. For a while everyone in the city was afraid of the more improved restaurant but after a while the place was booming with business. The best part about La palace was whenever Mr. Bill saw a homeless person he either gave them enough money to buy a house and get a job, or he gave them a years helping of food, or he brought them in and gave them a fully furnished room and he kept them as helpers and waitresses at  La palace.
            Soon all the other restaurants in England and elsewhere started to be jealous and they wanted to be like La palace. So the rampage began. Every time La palace bought something the other stores bought it too. Then they made their food just like La palace did and they mostly copied La palace! But that just gave them less business for they knew that La palace had two things that made them the best. George and Rebecca, the Water coolers. The rampage started for the water coolers everyone was making offers for them and even tried to kidnap them. The FBI had to guard the place at night and in the day. Then someone made a water cooler it was so realistic everyone wanted to see the new water cooler. It seemed that the new water cooler was made more powerful than George and Rebecca. Everyone started to try to kidnap the new water cooler then it got kidnapped so much that it finally broke into pieces. Too small of pieces so that it couldn’t get fixed. Also the person who made it died of old age. Everything was back to normal for the coolers. The water cooler thought it was kind of strange being the center of attention. Imagine people across the world coming just to see you. It was hard on them they desperately needed to not be around people. Rebecca got sick. So they ran away. Not for forever but for a month. They left a note for Mr. Bill. Here is what it said.
Dear Mr. Bill
I’m sorry that we have to leave but all of this was too much for us we can’t live like that we have to be away from people, even you I’m sorry. But I pinkie-promise we’ll be back.

Epilogue
            After a month the water coolers came back and they did feel and look better. Business went as usual. Crazed fans, offers to buy things in the restaurant for souvenirs, it happened so much Mr. Bill opened a gift shop in one of the many, many large extra bedrooms. Life is good for the water coolers and they are fine. But that one month every year George and Rebecca go off by their selves and do whatever they want to. And it happens to be June. And always they are looking forward to it.

   42% of women say that they wouldn't mind raising children without a spouse. They believe that they can raise a family without a male in the house.
    I don't like this. A kid needs two parents. For anyone who is saying that this generation has gone awry, remember who's raising us. Those adults want to raise us to believe that situations like this are fine. Genesis 2:24 "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." God meant for a man and woman to get married, then raise their children together.
     It's another show of the ungodliness of society. The world is getting worse. Nobody listens to God's commands anymore.
The Spanish-American War

   Spain had colonies all over the world, including the Philippines. But a lot of the people in these colonies wanted freedom. People were begging America to step in and do something. So, America went to war with Spain. In the end, America got some of the Spanish colonies, including the Philippines. But, the people in the Philippines fought the Americans for three more years.

   My two problems with this: First, another war. This wasn't America's fight. They were trying to help, yes, but did they need to go about it fighting? Second, the war was solved when some of the colonies came as protectorates of America. They wanted to be free, not coming under a stronger government.
Escape From Warswaw

   Escape From Warswaw is a book about four children and their arduous journey from Warswaw to Switzerland in search of their parents. The story takes place during and after World War II.
     I enjoyed this book. The language and wording made some parts a bit awkward, but I enjoyed reading it. I liked how well-rounded the characters were, and how they developed. I give this book a 10/10.

Titles are important parts in a book. For example, I might have read The 39 Clues series sooner if the title of the first book wasn't Maze of Bones. I don't like reading horror stories, so I avoided the series. Finally, I decided, that since it was written by Rick Riordan, whose books weren't too terrifying, it might be worth a shot. Another example is the Maximum Ride series. One of the books in the series is named Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. That title was very attention-catching, and made me want to read the book. This week, I got the assignment to evaluate the title of the book Snow Treasure by Marie Mcswiggan.
Snow Treasure is a book about World War II, set in a town the Germans occupied that held all of Norway's gold. The Germans weren't completely sure where the gold was in Norway, so the children of the town were able to smuggle the gold out of the city by sitting on it while they sledded out of the town, and then buried the gold in the snow.
Snow Treasure seems like an appropriate name. It's a book about a treasure that was hidden in the snow. Another name that might fit is They'll Never Suspect Children or Sledding With Gold. But I think that the name Snow Treasure is very fitting. It grabs my attention because I think "What treasure?" "Is the treasure snow?" "What goes on in this book?". I don't think that I'd want to read the book as much if it was called Smuggling Gold Out of Norway On Sleds. That gives it all away and makes it sound boring.
Through this paper, I've talked about why titles are important, and how the title Snow Treasure is a fitting name for the book. Titles always have been, and always will be, an important part of any book.

                Kate is an energetic girl from The Good Master and The Singing Tree. She changes a lot as the time goes by, but she sticks to her mischievous ways.  She can never resist a challenge or a chance to prove a person wrong. Her story first started when she got the measles. After recovering, her father decided that some fresh air would do her good, so he sent her to his brother’s house to live with them for the summer. (Secretly, he had hoped that his brother would be able to tame the wild imp that was his daughter.) It turned out that Kate’s cousin, Jancsi, was at the receiving end of the first act that showed Kate’s ability to turn a simple horse into a wild beast with her terrifying scream, soon to be a famous act of hers.  Her next act was to show her ability to climb by going up into the rafter, and then showed her appetite by eating the sausages up in the rafters. That’s how the first day of Kate’s visit started.  But as time went by, she began to do a few of the tasks around the farm, and soon, she found herself helping with all the farm chores (except for anything to do with the pigs.) and learning to ride a horse. In The Good Master, Kate changed from a small, scrawny imp to a strong, sturdy, headstrong imp. But in The Singing Tree, the strong, sturdy imp realized she needed to stop her tomboyish acts and grow up. She stayed as stubborn as ever and always kept had a bit of an imp in her, but when her days as a little girl passed, she became a grownup.  In two books, Kate changed from a scrawny imp who always managed to get her way to a very (almost) respectable young lady.

Snow Treasure

               After Hilter takes over Poland the adults of Riswayk Norway want to keep there golf from the Nazis. They reliend on the children to carry the gold to a boat so it would get to America.
               This was an interreting book, it was based on a true story so it;s even more interesting.

SOW chapter 7

                 Marquis de Lafayette wanted France to become a republic again,but to end the revolution he decied to agree to a constitition manarchy. That was where they would have a king, but he would have to obey a set of laws.
                 In 1848 the new king fled France, so they began a second republic, and wrote a new consititution. This stated that France could vote for a president. The first winner was Louis-Napoleon Bobaparte, the nephew of Napleon.
                  On December 2,1851 he arrested 70 french leaders who disagred with his plans. He helped France write a new constitution, that made him president for 10 more years.This republic lasted only 5 years, now the second empire begun.
                  States were a German confericy, not a country, Otto Von Bismarck was determind to make Prussia the ruling sate of the German confederficy. He wanted Germany to become a country.
                  It was soon clear  that Bismarck was stronger than than the king of Prussia.
                  The German state of Austria attacked Benmark capururing the southern part. Prussia wanted to own this land, but when Austria disagreed they attacked them. Prussia won, Prussia also claimed the Northeats corner of France.
                  The second Reich was destructive.

SOW chapter 5

The United States wasn't even 100 years old and it was already in a civil war.
        Abraham L, Linclon had been president the year before 1860, and in in 1860 states were allowed to choose wheater they were a slave state or a free state.
         A year after the civil war began Linclon said that all slaves would be free on Janurary 1,1863. Now the war was being fought to end slavery.
         On On April 9,1865 Robert E. Lee surrendered.

March 1st 2012AD
Hi diary my name is Ellison, Diary there is an ability I have and I can write and walk and talk at the same time, I got it from my dad. I got you for Christmas from my dad and you are one of the two things left of him after the fire, but the other one I keep from my mother. It is a watch that you can travel through time with. I am having trouble in history in some Vikings and castles and so we are going to travel two places the first stop is Norway! Now I am going to set my watch to Norway 890 AD and enter.
Wow that was awesome, diary look it’s a village, wow the houses look…. well you can’t see so I’m going to have to explain it to you, the houses are either made with stone or wood, and all the roofs are made of straw, it would be horrible if there was a wildfire. Well I have to go now I have to save energy, bye.

March 2nd 890AD
          Hi again diary. I am now approaching the women washing clothes to see if they are friendly, the just told me to get back to work near the longhouse with the other girls and so I am going there now, wow the other girls are nice they gave me some food and it is the best tasting stuff I have ever tasted what! And it is actually my most disliked food, venison. Well now I have to wash my dishes (the girls already did the dishes) bye.

March 3rd 890AD
Hello again diary after a good nights rest and a good breakfast I feel much better. Today I am going to see what the Vikings do for work, now I’m going outside to see, whoa! Diary there are slaves here, they are chopping wood and their breaking a huge rock with their axes. I now need to help with the laundry which looks so much like old fashioned work, (I guess because it’s 890AD) diary I just heard that the men are going on a raid soon and I am going to see if I can go. They are thinking about it, they are thinking about it and they say I can carry the stolen treasure! Diary I am going on a Viking raid! This all is helping a lot! Oh the raid is tomorrow well I’ve had a long day tomorrow I go raiding, wait diary I hear the men saying they are going to leave at four without me I better sneak in the ship without them noticing bye Bye.

March 4th 890AD
          Good 4:00 Morning diary the men woke me up at 4:00 coming in the ship (I slept in the ship)! Well I have a long journey ahead of me this is a huge ship it is about one twelfth of a mile! Ok diary after my nap on the journey that according to my watch was 2 hours we arrived and the raid is about to begin and it started some men are staying back to protect the ship and most of them are going to raid the small town gross I fell like puking there is blood everywhere the Vikings kill to get what they want ok I have to carry some stuff I might even help by going in the house and take some more things to carry, ooh my a golden locket I think they’ll want that and some golden goblets oh I don’t have any room to carry this stuff, I know I’ll use my backpack to carry more things anyway I emptied it at the village. Diary you wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff in there. Oh no diary they are burning this place down, with me inside! Better run to the ship so they don’t leave without me, WTYT (Write to You Tomorrow) Bye.

March 5th 890AD
          Hello diary today I am going to go back home and I woke up at 3:00 so the Vikings wouldn’t see me and I am very tired. I just put all my stuff back into my backpack and it seems bulkier than when I first had it well goodbye Vikings. New York City March 5th 2012 and enter.
          I’m finally back home and I was never so happy to be, and I’ll go to sleep for a while before my mom wakes me up for school. My mom just woke me u and she told me to unpack my backpack (she thinks I went on a trip to my grandma and grandpas house. Diary I left the gold in here I will be rich Wahoo! Well I have to go to school now, bye.

March 6th 2012AD
          Hello again diary now I a not struggling with the Vikings anymore but that leaves me with one more history assignment. Right now I am  I am getting ready for bed right now and I’ll just set my watch tonight so I don’t have to in the morning I am laying on my bed with my backpack as a pillow, ok Europe, 1238AD and enter.
          Diary I was so used to doing enter after I put in the place and time, so now I am in Europe in my bed and thankfully my backpack came also. I now am going to travel to the wonderful castle ahead it looks like a four story castle and it is awesome with all the property around it well talk to you later, bye.
March 6th 1238AD (Later)
          I finally got in and they had to search me all over for anything dangerous and they found the gold and thought I was going to sell it to the baron, whoever he is and they let me go and they even got me a bed to sleep in well I have to catch some sleep, good night.


          March 7th 1238AD
          Well after a good nights rest I feel way better. Diary I think I see the king and queen coming up the road wow they are very nice to children like me they invited me into their cart and so now I could go into the keep, past the guards without them having to search me and figure out what a watch is and steal it from me. Well talk to you tomorrow, Bye.

          The keep is awesome I have looked in every place except the dungeon (I am not allowed in it without a guard) and the barons room I am not allowed in without permission. Well I have to go to sleep. Bye.

          Hello it’s me again diary, today Lady Alicia and Baron Gregory are taking me to town and it is awesome but bad at the same time, the awesome part is everyone is bowing to me and the bad part is that the place is dirty and it smells badly well I have to go now, bye.

I am leaving          in a little while and I am saying my goodbyes to the baroness and so now I have to find my bed, found it! Ok, New York City, March 8th 1238 and enter.

          I took a test on Europe and Norway today and I placed top in the class, I’m not trying to brag but most of the kids in my 4th grade class missed over half the questions. Well diary I have to say goodbye for forever now I  ran out of pages so I will not be writing in you anymore bye diary.

A Wrinkle in Time

            This book is my all time favorite. It is about a girl named Meg who is in high school and she has three brothers (one is 5 and the twins are 10) and a mom, her dad mysteriously disappeared when the one that is 5 was three. Then one night everyone (mom Charles Wallace the 5year old and Meg) were in the kitchen when a woman appeared at their house and Charles said he knew her and he said her name was Mrs.Whatsit. The next day Meg and Charles were taking a walk when they met a boy a year older than Meg. His name was Calvin. He and Meg and Charles became friends. That night Calvin, Meg, Charles, Mrs. Whatsit, and two other people called Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, went on a journey to find Megs father throughout the galaxy by tessering, a way, through magic, of traveling through the galaxy at the speed of light. Their first stop was at a world where there was no living thing. There they met a person neither man nor woman whose name was the happy medium. There they ware shown what looked like a black powder crawling over the world. It was called the black thing. Then Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which and Mrs. Who said they couldn’t go with them to Camazotz Mrs. Who gave them instructions and told them never let the creatures  separate them. Then when the three got there they went to the central intelligence center
And Charles Wallace got captured and was being controlled like all the rest of the people on the planet but Meg finally figured out there was one thing that the ruler called IT didn’t have. It was love. Meg finally got her Charles Wallace back and her father and they went back home happily ever after……for now.

Today our family went to church. In the service, the Pastor’s wife, Lady Marva, preached. She talked about how when you don’t have something, be creative and use something else to fulfill the purpose of the thing you don’t have. If you don’t have money to pay the bills for light, live by candlelight. Be creative with what you have.
 Philippians 4: 10-13
I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.  I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

It’s back to school! I have been working hard on my schoolwork, but I wonder if it is enough to finish everything. I certainly hope it will be. I wonder if i just have a lot of schoolwork to do. I read a very interesting story called snow treasure. In this story, a 12 year old boy named Peter finds his home invaded by Germans who hope to strip his country, Norway, of it’s hidden wealth and treasure. The citizens of Norway then turn to the children to smuggle the gold on their sleds to a ship ready to take it away. It is a book of courage and bravery that comes from even the smallest of hearts.

Tuesday, May 7
Today is American Heritage girls. Today we learned that in June, the group I am currently in, the Explorers, are going to have a backyard sleepover, but at the same day, the group I will be moving to, the Pioneers, are having a camp out. Seeing as I’m stuck in the middle, I can decide to go on the sleepover or go camping. It’s very hard.

Today we went to Youth group. Miss J was talking about what Miss Marva was preaching about. Then we ere given notebooks and had to write what we thought they meant.

          Today I am going to talk about musicians from 1000AD-1883AD. Have you ever wondered who made the notes Do,Re,ME,Fa,So,La,Ti,and  Do, it was made by a monk named Guy. Then in 1700 the real good musicians came, such as Handel, whose father wanted him to be a lawyer but it didn't work Handel became a musician. Did you know that Handel and Bach were alive around the same time and they both went blind when they were old. Then there was Mozart the four year old "Boy Wonder." Then a father named Beethoven wanted son (Beethoven) to be a boy wonder so he made his son practice till he cried, in this boys old age he went deaf which gave him a bad temper. Last but not least there is Wagner he lived till 1883 he wasn't the best but everyone still loved him.
   Lastly, did you know that you are lucky to have the opportunity to listen to these musicians whenever you want back then it would of been a dream.
Angel in the square: Review

Angel in the Square is a heartwarming story about a girl named Katya, who lives in Russia. Her mother is a countess, and she lives a life of luxury in a mansion. But when the war against Germany comes, everything changes. Katya's mother becomes the Empress's lady in waiting, and as she meets new friends, things suddenly take a turn, and Katya finds herself locked up in the palace, surrounded by thousands of peasants, calling for the Tsar to resign. Then her cousin, Misha, gets taken to join the war. Will Katya be able to help her friends and the Imperial family as well as her own? will the angel in the square stand if Russia falls to Germany?
I liked this book. It had plenty of detail and plot twists, but not enough to keep the reader interested. I give this book an 8/10.

Story of the World Book 4 Chapter 3, The Great Game
Dost Mohammed Khan ruled over Afghanistan, a country which people had been fighting over for centuries. Afghanistan was one of the barriers between the Russian and British empires. So, both empires wanted Afghanistan for their own. Eventually, Dost Mohammed Khan managed to drive both empires out, but died six weeks later.

That was a rare occurrence in those days. I took a lot of resilience and defence to defend a country against two of the worlds biggest empires at the time. I guess that shows that little people (or countries) can do big things.

The Good Master
The Good Master is a book about a family on a farm. Janci, the 11 year old boy, has a cousin named Kate, who is a bit of a troublemaker, but life on a farm changes Kate a lot.What I think about the book, is that Kate just needed some attention.

This book was pretty good. It was a very good example of relationships in the family on a farm, and other parts of Holland culture. There were some slow parts, but I give this book a 8/10.

There's No Place Like... My Backyard

One of my favorite places in the world isn't anywhere exotic. It's probably only is special to me. In fact, it's my backyard. Not much grass grows in my backyard, and whatever grass does manage to struggle up, it looks very untidy and messy. In the middle of my yard, there is a play set, with a wooden 'house'as well as a swing set with three swings. The play set is about six years old, it's sturdy, and not rotting, but it doesn't exactly look brand new. To the right of the play set is a little shed, all metal, which is also pretty untidy.

Even though the whole place sounds like a mess, I like it. If I want a place to think, or just want to do something, I swing on that old swing set. The whole place is familiar and comforting. I feel calmer, and it gives my spirits a boost. I hope everyone can find a special place for themselves like my backyard.
Revolutionary Mexico City Hospital Facade Absorbs Toxins

 A group of  people in Mexico City have added a new wing to their main hospital. But it's not just a hospital. One of it's walls is an air filter!!!

This is an interesting way to clean the air. It's also a nice way to take the 'going green' idea. Hopefully, this new technology will spread, so every city's air can be cleaner. Genesis 1:28, God gave humanity charge over the earth. We need to take care of it. 

And, on top of all this, this could help reduce pollution. That was actually the main point of this new technology. If this technology was put in all of the busy, polluted cities, it could really help the environment. God told us to take care of his creation. That's what we should be doing. We should go green.

Diary of a Ferret

January 1, 2001
            Hi diary it’s me Rosalita. My owner won’t let me go on walks anymore and I noticed that she is getting fat, or is that just that she is getting on more clothes? She is always in a hurry in the morning either goes to a place called school or going to work or meeting with her boss Suzan, I overheard that I am getting a friend soon! I wonder if it will be a dog, or a cat, or another ferret, I hope it is another ferret. Well it’s time for breakfast, talk to you later diary, Bye!

January 2, 2001
            Hello again diary I overheard that my friend is going to come tonight after my owner, Fiona’s, work! I am so exited I can barely write these words! Diary please excuse me for a second while I do my happy dance, I’m back and I wonder what I might do while Fiona is gone I don’t think I can sleep like I usually do but I guess I have to because then I have to sleep when my new friend arrives, and I don’t want to do that.. So I have to go to sleep please cross your fingers, if you have any, I hope it is a baby girl ferret. Bye.

            I did what I promised and it she actually is an albino! Her white fur and red eyes make her even cuter. She is a friendly little baby and she is 8 months old so she is not as smart, well I want to play with her so bye TTYL (talk to you later.)

            Today is “bring your pet to work” day, and I am very uncomfortable in this cat carrier, but I am glad that Bonita (the new ferret) is with me. Now we are at Fiona’s work and we actually have a cage there for us! Finally it is time for us to be shown to Fiona’s co-workers and everyone is crowding around Bonita but not me! It is so unfair that she is getting all the attention. I need to try and gather their attention so TTYL.

            I tried to get everyone’s attention but I just couldn’t so I had a sudden inspiration. I did my happy dance. (For I am very experienced and good at it.) It worked everyone came over to me and started admiring my moves. Then Bonita wanted her popularity back so she tried to do the dance but she had no experience and so it wasn’t as good as mine. Now I am happy because I got my attention back. Bye.

            Bonita is now angry at me for getting all the attention, and I keep on saying to her that she got a lot of attention at first. That doesn’t help her at all. I promised her that I would teach her the happy dance and so that is what I am going to do. Bye.

            I know I will have a good time with Bonita. It will be so fun to watch her grow up  I cannot write in this Journal my paws are shaking I think I am sick. Fiona is taking me to the vet tomorrow. Bye.

           The vet says I have a bad sickness that I can't spell. She says I'll have to have a lot of care, and that I could die. I cannot write is this journal for a long time, so bye.

There was a country in Europe called Prussia. The third king was Fredrick, Fredrick the great. Fredrick's father was the second king and he hated Fredrick because he loved poetry and music and so Fredrick couldn't take the pain that his father gave him and he ran away and he was caught and his father wanted for his punishment to be killed but it didn't happen. When Fredrick became king he wanted some land called Austria and he won in a war part of it and then the seven year war happened between Austria and Prussia. Prussia won. At the same time the English won against the French over America, and if it weren't for Fredrick winning  we Americans would be speaking French instead of English and we would be French and we wouldn't be "The Land of the Free" and "The Home of the Brave" thank you Fredrick. Now near Fredrick's Palace there was a mill a very ugly mill and so Fredrick offered the miller a lot of money for the mill so he could tear it down but the miller refused, and unlike most kings Fredrick let him be, and that very same mill still stands there today.

There were once two men named Lois XIII and Lois XIV, they both were ruler reigning in the seventeenth century. During Lois XIII reign there was a war and it lasted thirty years and unlike all wars it was Protestants against Catholics. Gustavus Adolphus took sides with the Protestants even though he was a Catholic, and the Protestants won because of him, but sadly during the end of the war he died. During the war the plague took place, and in a little town called Oberamergau the people prayed to God that if they were spared they would put on a show on Jesus life every ten years, they were spared and the plays still happen today. The next king was Lois XIV and he was very proud of himself and he thought that he was the smartest, handsomest, person ever. Now the poor people he was king over had to pay for every party present and everything that had to do with money except for earning it.

Current Event

CVS Tells Workers to Reveal Body Facts-Or Pay Up!

CVS is telling it's employees to reveal their height, weight, body fat percent and other personal information, so they can provide their employees with healthcare. If their employees don't accept their healthcare, they have to pay a $600 fine.

These people are being very rude. They are intruding on their employees privacy. Who knows how far this could go? "Accept our gift or give us a $600 fine?" That's crazy! 1 Peter 4:15 "But let none of you suffer as a murderer or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters." The fact that these people in CVS are making their employees use their healthcare is that last part.

Like I said earlier, how far will this go? How hypocritical will people get? "Oh, we'll provide you healthcare! But if you don't take this gratifying offer, we'll make you pay us $600 a year." Why are they doing this? In what way will it get worse?

A Good Hook

My name is Pip, but does that really matter? Life is miserable as it is, without a name like Pip. It's late, and I'll probably miss dinner if I stay here. But I don't want to go back. She'd just find something to blame me for, beat me when I said I didn't do it, and scold me with, "Don't act so ungrateful to those who raised you up by hand." By hand. Bah! My sister raised me with a hand that held a rod to beat down on my back when she could. But after she married Joe, the blacksmith, things have been a little better. Now I have someone who understands me, as we both receive the same treatment from my sister. It's cold, but I bet my mother, father, and brothers are all colder than I am, in the earth that surrounds their bones.

The Beginning of The End... Of Slavery

Over Europe and America, people started realizing that maybe slavery was wrong. There was an organization that specifically spoke out against slavery, called the Abolitionists. But, some people 'needed' slaves, to keep their plantations and farms going strong.But there were too many people who realized slavery was wrong. In 1807, the British Parliament passed a law that stated no British ships were allowed to buy slaves from African slave posts, and sell them, basically outlawing slave trade. In 1808, the United States government passed the same law. But slavery was still legal until, in 1833, the British government made slavery illegal. But slaves wouldn't be free over in the United States for a little while longer.

People all over the world were starting to question "why?" and "how?"  How does the world work? Why do we keep slaves? Why do objects fall? How does a river move? Nowadays, in 2013, we usually ask "why?" and "how?", and even little kids want to know things like "how does the world spin?" (given to me by Hannah). We need to know. A question that I have: is this a good thing or a bad?

            This story is one of my favorites, it’s so interesting that I kept on reading past my page. It’s about a boy who has a family of tailors, but he (Arduino) instead of wanting to be a tailor he wanted to be a painter, so Arduinos father reluctantly took him to a studio telling Arduino that if the Maestro (the master) gave him any complaints Arduino would go home immediately and become a tailor. There were three more boys at the studio they were Marco, Piero, and Baldo (the Maestro’s real name was Cosimo di Forli) Arduino worked so hard on being good, at night he saw the maid go up to the attic where they were forbidden, and the Maestro says there is even a monster in the attic. But late one night when everybody was asleep except for Arduino his curiosity got the better of him so he went up to the attic. What he found almost made him scream, a man about in his twenties chained up against the wall, Arduino found that the name of the man was Donanto and he had been there for more than ten years, the two became very close friends. One day the Duke asked the Maestro to do a fresco for him, first the Maestro tried to paint what he was going to paint but he couldn’t he was to sick. He was panicking that it would not be done when Arduino asked if Donanto could do it the Maestro was angry that Arduino went up into the attic but then he agreed that Donanto could do it, but when they delivered it they couldn’t tell the duke that the painting was Donanto’s, and that the Maestro was sick. but when they got back Arduino was accused of telling the duke that he was sick and that the painting was Donanto’s but he hadn’t said a thing! Arduinos father came and took him home, but (yes there is a but) later to find it was a misunderstanding and later to find that Donanto was the new Maestro! so the next day the Duke came and took Arduino to help his Maestro with the fresco he was a apprentice again. I really love this book.

    Today's story was about the Type and Gunpowder. I will start with the Type, it all started out in Germany a man named Gutenberg. The first book Gutenberg printed was the bible, and it took five years to print!
   The Chinese invented gunpowder that the Turks used for battling Constantinople, and Constantinople was defenseless because they had never seen such a thing.The Turks won and Constantinople became Turkish and the Santa Sophia (a church) became a mosque for Muslim prayer.

Florida atheist group wants equal time after Bible giveaway at school

A school in Florida let a church group distribute free bibles. Now, an atheist group want to distribute anti-religion materials.

This is crazy. The atheist group's reasoning is perfect. That's what is so aggravating. I'm mow praying for this school, and, more specifically, the kids who attend. John 15:20 says, "If they persecute me, they will persecute you also." People are always going to challenge Christianity.

As I said above, people will challenge Christianity. We have to meet it. We have to be strong in our faith. Can I fight? That's where my thought process leads to. Will I be able to defend my faith? Will you?

The Hundred Year War

There once was a king in 1338 named Edward III, he owned England. One day King Edward wanted France as his own (he was related to the king of France) so he made war with France. This war lasted over a hundred years and on the last year it seemed a girl brought them luck. Now that girl (Joan) who had visions of fighting with France so she went to the prince and asked if she could lead and he said yes. The English captured her and accused her of being a witch and burned her at the stake.

The Vegetable Garden

There once was a girl named Hannah she was busy in her kitchen digging through her fridge. She found some seeds and said “Hmm… Nah, what good are seeds?” Then she tossed them out her kitchen window.

Three weeks later, she saw vegetables and fruits growing on her front lawn. And she said “My my! Did the seeds do that?” She found zucchini, strawberries, grapefruit, cantaloupe, corn, peas, green beans, cauliflower, and broccoli. So she had a feast and decided to grow more and more and more fruits and veggies.

Part I

June 5, 1762

Scene: Austria, Hofburg Palace. The wide courtyard shows two children, 7 year old Marie Antoinette and Wolfgang Mozart. In the background sits Carolina and Marie Theresa, watching the two play tag.


Marie Antoinette: (Dodges Wolfgang’s outstretched hand) Missed!
Wolfgang Mozart: Not this time! (Lunges to the side and taps Marie’s shoulder.) Tag!
Marie Antoinette: (Runs after Wolfgang.) Hey!
(Wolfgang trips and falls, and Marie runs to his side.)
Marie Antoinette: Are you okay? (Helps him to his feet.)
Wolfgang Mozart: I believe so. (Looks at Marie and nods.) You are good. I will marry you someday. (Smiles. Marie blushes, and Maria Theresa overhears their conversation.)
Maria Theresa: (To herself) Ah, no, if all goes well it will not be you, Wolfgang, that my Marie will marry, but the future King of France. (Carolina overhears her and looks at the two children, then turns to Maria Theresa with a puzzled look.)
Carolina: Mother, what do you mean by Maria will marry the ‘future King of France’?
Maria Theresa: (Sighing.) I guess I have to explain it all. Although the war is over, Austria still has to find a way to keep enemies from invading Austria. Also, I need a stronger alliance with King Louis XV. In order to secure that, I have attempted to arrange Marie to marry King Louis’s grandson. That way, Marie can one day be Queen of France, and Austria will also have French soldiers to protect the country. (Carolina nods.)
Carolina: The rule of Queen Marie Antoinette of France draws near!
(Blackout)

Part II
March 2, 1775
Scene: The Palace, France, the courtyard. In the gardens, 20-year-old Marie Antoinette is skipping through the grass, her blond hair flying. Louis XVI is leaning on a wall with rosebushes rising up it, fingering one of the many locks he makes.

Marie Antoinette: It seems as though I have fallen into a dream, where I can do whatever I wish and have all the pleasures and desires of my heart. Truly I am the luckiest woman alive!
Louis XVI: (To himself) Yes, and you are like the dancer and I the farm boy, content but wishing for such dancing skill. (He sighs and sets the lock on the ground. Servant 1 and Servant 2 run up.)
Servant 1: Your highness, these letters have just arrived. (Indicates to Servant 2, who has a large amount of letters in his arms.)
Louis XVI: Very well, let me see them. (Servant 2 drops the envelopes at his feet and Louis kneels down to pick one up. He opens it.) Hmm… the peasants are demanding lower taxes and more money for their work… the usual… here is something new! The peasants say they have no bread. Maybe I should ask Marie. You can go. (He waves his hand at Servant 1 and Servant 2, and Servant 2 exits, but Servant 1 stays in the background. Louis walks over to Marie Antoinette, who stops skipping.) My dear Marie, we happen to be in a situation. The peasants say that they have no bread.
Marie Antoinette: (Laughs) Then let them eat cake! (Twirls away and begins to skip gaily again.)
Louis XVI: (Shakes head.) My wife has lost her mind. (Servant 1 approaches.)
Servant 1: So you just noticed.
Louis XVI: Yes. But what can I do to stop her? I suppose all I can do is nothing. Oh well. I will tell them what my wife said. (He and servant 1 exit.)
Marie Antoinette: The peasants are perfectly happy. They have no idea what trouble and worry it is to be a queen!
(Blackout)

Part III

Scene: A small room, highly decorated. In a corner on a wooden chair Louis XVI writes something with a quill on a piece of paper, occasionally dipping the quill into a glass bottle of ink. Servant 1 barges in and Louis XVI looks up.

Servant 1: SIR! SIR! The peasants are attacking! They are demanding bread!
Louis XVI: What? After all I have done, keeping them safe from enemies? This is an outrage! Where are the guards?
Servant 1: They all are either dead or unconscious or taken prisoner by the mob. Right now they are breaking down Queen Marie’s door!
Louis XVI: Then she should be here soon. A secret tunnel that leads here is inside her room. (A flap in the wall opens, and Marie Antoinette appears.)
Marie Antoinette: I don’t understand! They want bread, but they refuse to eat cake! Who could refuse to eat cake?
Louis XVI: My dear, they have no cake either.
Marie Antoinette: No cake? Maybe they should eat sugar cookies, then.
Louis XVI: They don’t have any food. And a hungry, angry mob is one of the worst mobs. (The door suddenly breaks down and a huge group of women rush in, wearing rags and holding knifes, pitchforks, and other dangerous farm tools.
Peasant woman 1: Queen Marie Antoinette, King Louis XVI, you are coming with us!
Louis XVI: Guards! Guards! (At this point the mob hides Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette from sight and all race off the setting.)
(Blackout)
Part IV
Scene: A road crawling with peasants. On a large platform in the center are Guard 1 and Guard 2, each standing on each side of the guillotine, and as a wooden wagon approaches, the crowd parts to show Guard 3 and Louis XVI in it. Louis has his hands tied behind his back and wears a plain white shirt and brown pants. The crowd jeers at him as he passes. One person even throws a tomato. Guard 2 has a drum.

Guard 1: Here is the traitor you have been waiting for, King Louis XVI! (The crowd cheers, and Louis XVI steps onto the platform.)
Louis XVI: I die innocent of all the crimes of which I have been charged. (At this angry shouting rises up from the crowd) I pardon those who have brought about my death, and I pray that the blood you are about to shed may never be required of France… (At this point Guard one signals with his hand at Guard 2, and Louis’s last words are lost in the beat of the drum. As Louis is put into the guillotine, then (Blackout), and then a great cheer up.)
Guard 3: Ex-King Louis XVI is dead! Long live the republic!

Part V

Scene: The road is crawling with shouting peasants. The platform, the guillotine, Guard 1 and Guard 2 are standing beside it, and nearly everything the same. The wagon comes with Guard 3 and Marie Antoinette, whose hands are tied and wears a plain white dress. Five tomatoes are thrown, and Marie Antoinette steps onto the platform. The crowd jeers loudly.
Guard 1: I present to you: Marie Antoinette, soon to be the late Queen of France! (At this the mob laughs and Marie Antoinette opens her mouth to say something, but Guard 3 interrupts.)
Guard 3: The lady would like to present a no doubt well-rehearsed story about how she is innocent and doesn’t deserve to die, like her husband. I wonder if she remembers how well that got him out! (The mob laughs, and Marie Antoinette closes her mouth and hangs her head. The drum beats and Marie is walked over to the guillotine, where there is a (Blackout) in the darkness a loud cheer rises up.)
Guard 3: Ex-Queen, Marie Antoinette, is dead! Long live the republic!
Mob: Long live the republic!

Part VI
Scene: Death, an empty darkness except for in the center, where a faint light shines onto the ghost of Marie Antoinette, who is all white and speaks to the audience.

Marie Antoinette: That was the story of how I foolishly did what pleased me, and it eventually cost me my life. I didn’t bother knowing that each expensive party I had would make at least one family go hungry. I didn’t notice I was starving people to death when I bought a fancy diamond necklace, or a golden bracelet, or even when I set banquets for foreign soldiers. My life of pleasure eventually secured an early death. I hope that you do not make the mistake I did. I wish you a happy and safe life.
(Blackout)

The End
(All Characters come to the stage and bow, then leave.)

Jesus was at a wedding with his disciples and his mother.

The wine ran out and Jesus said to the servants, "fill the jugs with water." So they did.

When they poured it out, it was not water at all. It was wine.

We can learn from this that Jesus can do all things.
